Description/Job Summary

Provide assessment of children and their needs for matching with potential placement alternatives. Provide feedback to placement staff regarding placement location for children as well as information communicated from placement resources such as group home managers, foster parents, Licensing, etc. Provide data reporting for the unit as required. This position requires on-call duties and requires travel within/ outside of assigned county.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work or human behavioral studies ( Human behavioral studies include the following: Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, Sociology, Child and/or Family Development (Human Development), Family Studies, Education, Law, Behavioral Science, Social Policy, Sociology, and Criminal Justice/Criminology.) or may substitute five years of experience in a placement team unit.
  • Must have knowledge of available resources in the service area for children.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to use a computer.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside, good driving record, and insurable under LCI’s policy.
