The Shift Supervisor will maintain awareness of the importance of language used, and avoid stigmatizing language and conduct. Teach basic and community living skills to clients, either individually or in group settings. Provide administrative and clinical oversight and supervision to assigned staff per division standards; and ensure staff are providing the highest quality treatment and support services to clients. Provide consultation and guidance to assigned staff to encourage continual improvement in performance. Interviewing, selecting, and training assigned staff; directing the work of assigned staff and apportioning work among assigned staff as appropriate; and handling employees complaints appropriately. Assisting assigned staff in planning their work and in determining the most appropriate techniques to be used. Ensuring assigned staff are providing appropriate services; all staff are providing appropriate co-occurring services; all staff are submitting timely and quality documentation per program/division and legal requirements. Recognize, respond to and defuse volatile or dangerous situations in an appropriate manner .
