Description/Job Summary


The Foster Home Recruitment Specialist will recruit and assess families as candidates to become licensed foster homes using outreach, marketing and public relations methods and techniques. The position will serve as the primary point of contact for potential foster parents and will work with each prospective family as they begin the licensing process. Work as a member of a team to promote fostering as an opportunity and to solidify the organization as a partner with the community in meeting the needs of abused and neglected children.  Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Use data to inform practice. Work with a diverse population of individuals by using tact, diplomacy and flexibility.


  • Must have Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Community Development, Public Relations or Social Services area.
  • Two years’ experience in community relations, marketing or social services. Master’s degree may substitute for years of experience.
  • Must be proficient with social media, word processing, data entry, and spreadsheets.
  • Must be able to communicate well orally and in writing.
  • A valid Florida’s driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and accessibility to reliable transportation.
  • Outstanding organizational skills are required.
