Description/Job Summary


The position benefits from knowledge in the field of child welfare and the ability to use that knowledge and prior work experience to lower the level of trauma children experience during entry into the child welfare system.  As a key member of the CARES Team the Administrative Assistant’s primary duty is to help bridge the gap between removal and transfer to FamiliesFirst Network case management units.  The services provided by the Administrative Assistant will help establish a glide path for entry into the child welfare system.  Administrative Assistants will assist Case Mangers by performing all assigned tasks with a special emphasis on completing photographs and fingerprints, as well as, conducting both relative and diligent searches. 


  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • Two (2) years previous secretarial experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Basic math skills. 
  • Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software.
