Lakeview Center is best known for its caring, compassionate treatment for people with mental health issues, drug and alcohol dependencies, or intellectual disabilities. The breadth and depth of these services are the most comprehensive in the region. They range from inpatient and residential treatment to a gamut of outpatient programs including trauma services, psychiatry, counseling, day treatment, and intensive, round-the-clock outpatient services to help people with severe mental illnesses safely remain in the community. We reach people of all ages from babies and children to adolescents and adults. In all, we offer more than 60 programs and services for the people of Northwest Florida.
The Lakeview Center Opiate Treatment Program is centered on helping people learn the skills to overcome addiction to opium-derived drugs. Cravings are perhaps the biggest hurdle, but Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) can be the key to recovery. MAT is an evidence-based practice composed of pharmacological interventions, counseling and support.
The Behavior Technician Supervisor works collaboratively with program management to manage the milieu of the MAT clinic. The supervisor coordinates behavior tech assignments and assists in the management of the clinic's therapeutic environment. The supervisor is responsible for assessing and assigning specific tasks to the techs and for ensuring that interventions and processes are consistently adhered to. The supervisor reports directly to the MAT Executive Director or his/her designee and serves as a liaison between the behavior techs and the program director to coordinate care for patients during hours of operation. The supervisor is responsible for the completion of the Clinical Staff Training Program for each new behavior tech, either by direct instruction or assignment. The supervisor assists in maintaining a therapeutic milieu that enhances social development, provides emotional support, problem solving, fosters communication, and encourages healthy, pro-recovery behavior. The supervisor must be competent in the collection and processing of urine, breath, and mouth swab tests to determine client adherence to program rules regarding substance use/misuse. The supervisor must maintain CPR certification.
