Position Summary

THIS IS A REMOTE WORK POSITION FOR THE FLORIDA GULF COAST REGION

This is a highly responsible position in which the individual will service in a multi-facet function by working with case management direct services staff and leadership, in addition to other internal and external agents within child welfare.
This position encompasses performing quality assurance and incident reporting activities as outlined in the agency’s contract, participating in case staffings, and providing technical assistance when required/requested by both internal and external child welfare entities, as directed by immediate supervisor.
This position is responsible for data entry into STARS and IRAS data systems as required; tracking, trending, and analysis of quality review and incident reporting data for the purpose of making recommendations to improve quality and to reduce adverse events.
Some supervisory duties/skills may be required.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human services field and a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in child welfare OR Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human services field and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in child welfare.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of child welfare statutes, policies, procedures, and practices to include the Florida Safety Decision Making Methodology, the Federal Child and Family Services Review, and Family Centered Practice.
  • This position requires the ability to review, evaluate, and analyze complex information for the purpose of ensuring quality and compliance with State, Federal and agency requirements.
  • This position requires the ability to effectively communicate findings of case reviews, orally and in writing, and to facilitate problem solving discussions with a focus on contract requirements and quality improvement.
  • The ability to organize data and information into a logical format for presentation orally and in written reports is required.
  • This position requires the ability to effectively communicate and interface with direct services staff, supervisors, managers and community partners.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and be able to perform data entry.
  • Experience in working with FSFN, STARS, Excel, Power Point, and computer graphics.
  • Proficiency handling multiple detailed tasks and tracking systems is required.
  • This position must participate in and successfully complete training in Quality Assurance within 6 months of hire as required by the Department of Children and Families.
