Description/Job Summary


Primary focus is on Mobile Crisis Response Model. Routinely travel to/from community locations where clients seek assistance. Required to assist with responding to Support Line for mobile crisis unit.
Flexible shift and work assignment model with 24/7/365 on call rotation required. To conduct case staffings with other direct care providers in division/program and to exercise discretion and independent judgment, while utilizing advanced knowledge in the human services field, to provide case specific consultation as deemed necessary, and to assist other staff in coming up with appropriate treatment and services for their individual clients.To systematically and regularly conduct quality record reviews of documentation prepared by Bachelor Level Direct Care employees and Behavioral Technicians. To exercise discretion and independent judgment, while utilizing advanced knowledge in the field of human services, to perform the following functions: Interview, gather and interpret clinical data on assigned clients and then analyze data considering the client’s age, developmental level, treatment readiness, stage of change, gender, and cultural background and complete a thorough interpretive summary of client’s current state of being. Assess assigned clients for co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. Complete mental status exam on each assigned client. Using interpretive summary and assessment information, provide a clinically supported and valid DSM diagnosis. Use assessment information and interpretive summary to develop an individualized treatment plan for each assigned client. Provide treatment recommendations and level of care decisions that are appropriate to diagnosis, client’s level of functioning and medical necessity criteria. Address any assessed co-occurring disorders in the treatment plan.


  • Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, rehabilitation, or a related human services field (a related human services field is one in which major course work includes the study of human behavior and development)
  • At least (2 two year(s) experience working with adolescents and adults who have mental health, substance abuse and/or co-occurring disordersor developmental disabilities
    Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families
  • Must be able to use a computer
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be insurable under LCI’s automobile plan
  • Must be able to travel locally to clients’ homes, training locations and other locations as necessary
