This is a highly responsible position, which supervises and manages the work of Circuit 1 Placement Staff within the child protection system. This position requires a working knowledge of state and federal laws, administrative rules and regulations pertaining to the mission of child protective services, Department of Children and Families
Operational Procedures and Lakeview/FFN Operational Procedures. The incumbent will work directly for the Director of Resource Management and will be responsible to motivate, communicate, evaluate, plan and direct the work of the FFN Placement Team. This position will be responsible for supervision of all placement units across Circuit 1. The Placement Team Manager will supervise placement staffs work with children and foster parents, the Department of Children and Families child protection investigators, FamiliesFirst Network Family Services Counselors, Licensing Counselors, community providers and residential treatment providers; assuring appropriate alternatives have been identified and utilized properly. The Team Manager will be an expert in the program area assigned, use systematic planning, tracking and problem solving processes, manage conflict resolution, develop community relations and promote professional development of staff, and manage placement utilization. They will also represent FFN at all Circuit Child of Concern staffings and coordinate referrals and placement of children into specialized treatment alternatives.
